Do you enjoy treasure hunting?  Do you want to help out a great cause?  Do you want a reason to get out on a sunny June Saturday?  If you answered yes to any of these questions, then come on out to the Annual CatNap Yard Sale Part 1!!  The yard sale will be held in CatNap’s parking lot from 9 am to 3 pm.  For directions, click here.

Also, new this year, have a cup of coffee or a refreshing beverage and some homemade baked goods at the CatNap Cafe while you wait for the yard sale to officially open or to take a break from treasure hunting.

CatNap will have a Veterinarian and CVT on site to provide low-cost microchipping and nail trims for cats, dogs, and rabbits. Through this event, we hope to reduce the number of unclaimed stray animals that enter animal shelters in our community.

Each year, thousands of stray animals enter animal shelters. Many of these animals have simply wandered away from their homes, but their lack of identification makes it impossible for shelters to match them back up with their previous owners. Microchipping is a simple procedure that provides a permanent form of identification for your pet so that it can always be returned to you if it is ever lost.

CatNap hopes to reduce the number of unclaimed stray animals that enter local shelters, which could also reduce the number of animals euthanized in local shelters. Prices for services at the event are as follows:

Microchips: $20 for cats and rabbits, $25 for dogs
Microchip Registrations: $25*
Nail Trims: $10 ($5 for front-declawed cats)

All procedures will be performed under the supervision of Pamela Cuevas, DVM and Betty Wood, CVT.

Be sure to visit the CatNap Cafe for some tasty baked goods and a refreshing drink while you wait for your friend(s) to be microchipped. There will also be new and gently used cat and dog items for sale.

*The microchip registration links your pet’s AVID microchip directly to your home address. If you do not wish to purchase a registration, the microchip will be registered to CatNap, and we will return your pet to you if it is found as a stray.
