This month we would like to highlight one of the best boys in the shelter, Garfield. Garfield was diagnosed with diabetes and gets a simple, small injection every day to help him stay healthy and happy! He is so smart, a lover, and enjoys wandering the shelter looking for mischief! Stop by and say ‘hi’ to him sometime this month and you might just fall in love and take him home! You will be missing out if you don’t!
Cat diabetes symptoms can include:
-Increased thirst, urination, and hunger
-Weight loss and loss of muscle mass
-Lethargy and depression
-Vomiting and lack of appetite
-Poor hair coat and grooming
