About

CatNap is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to creating lifelong relationships between companion animals and their adoptive families. We will provide shelter and care to all healthy and treatable relinquished, abandoned or transferred cats and kittens until we can bring the adopter and animal together for a lasting relationship.

CatNap was founded in 1997 and became a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization in 2002.

CatNap from the Heart is a limited-access shelter.

Foster a Pet, Change a Life

Can’t adopt? Consider fostering one of our long-term residents or a group of kittens for a time period as short as 3 weeks or several months, it all depends on the situation and needs of our furry friends! See our foster page for more information and to fill out an application to help!

The Scoop on Adoptions

All pets live comfortably at CatNap or in a foster home until the right human companion comes along. There is NO TIME LIMIT for any animal. We are committed to finding the right home and to taking the time to carefully match the needs and the personalities of both people and adopted animals. Come see all the adorable cats and kittens available at our facility!

We are open to the public during our adoption hours on Tuesday through Thursday (12pm -3pm) and on Saturday (11am-3pm).

Normally, we prefer that all members of the family wishing to adopt should be present before taking home your new furry friend from CatNap.  Currently, all adoptions are being done on a trial basis (foster to adopt) and finalized within two weeks.

Our foster to adopt program is a great way to find your new fur baby (or adult)! The person or family will fill out a short, general application, speak with a helpful adoption counselor, and take home is the same day! Please don’t forget an ID and rental agreement if applicable!
