Meet our Vet

Dr. Chrissy Braun, DVM

Joined our staff full time in May 2017

Dr. Chrissy obtained her veterinary degree from the University of Illinois after completing her undergraduate work in Biology at Augustana College.  She has always had a passion for shelter medicine and surgery after starting as a volunteer during high school at CatNap.  Her residency included working at many shelters and participating in spay and neuter clinics statewide.

She grew up locally in LaGrange Park and has experience working with cats and dogs, as well as exotic animals. In her spare time, she loves spending time not only with her own cats, but her foster kittens.  She also enjoys spending time outdoors and playing the piano.  Her main passion includes providing quality low cost veterinary care and reducing and taking care of the homeless animal population.

Available Services

Our clinic is available to the general public, rescues and TNR groups for cats and kittens.

Please call the shelter at (708) 352-3914 to make an appointment for our services! CatNap clinic services are by appointment only and we generally book up to three to four weeks in advance (can be longer at peak times). Spay and neuter appointments are currently full for July, August, and September, please contact on September 19th starting at 8am for available appointments in October.

Clinic surgeries are scheduled Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings. Clinic appointments are generally scheduled Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.
