Spring has sprung and we expect kittens to be arriving very soon. Of course, we will be looking for foster families to take care of these sweeties until they are ready to be spayed or neutered at 12-14 weeks of age. Please contact us if you are interested in fostering for us this summer.
In this connection, all incoming cats and kittens MUST BE SCHEDULED with the Intake Coordinator. We have to have foster families and/or cages ready for all incoming. We are a limited access facility and cage space must be available. Please help us by calling the shelter to make sure we have available cage space. Thank you.

NEXT EVENT: JOIN US FOR OUR COUCH POTATO MARATHON.
All you have to do is sit on the couch (or favorite chair) and promise to watch TV, take a CatNap, whatever you wish to do, for a certain number of hours and gather pledges from your friends and family. We hope the whole family will join in. And we’d love to get some pictures of our Couch Potatoes hard at work! The event will be held for two weeks, May 28 and June 11. Pick up your pledge form and instructions at the shelter. Ask your friends to join in through Facebook too. The more the merrier.

1920′s Sofa and Chairs for Sale – Just in time for our couch potato marathon, CatNap has received a donation of a beautiful sofa and two wing chairs. This vintage set in a medium blue color with reversible cushions can be purchased through the LaGrange Park Antique Mall. The sofa is at the mall and the chairs are in the pod at the shelter right now. The wood is mahogany. They have recently been reconditioned and look great. Stop by to see them soon.
KITTEN SHOWER! Our kitten shower was a great success with a great turnout. If you still wish to donate, we are registered at Wal-Mart and Amazon.com in the baby registry for items of need. When you get to the registry, the first name is “CatNap”, the last name is “From the Heart”. You can have the items shipped directly to us or bring them anytime. We will have light refreshments for the shower.
ADOPTERS NEEDED: We still have lots of nice juveniles looking for a good home. Do stop by or recommend others to come by and take home a friend.
Quick List of Events:
June 23 and July 14 - Annual Yard Sales – Also antiques, collectibles, jewelry, bake sale. No computer equipment or televisions will be accepted. Also no clothing. Volunteers are needed to help with the sale.
August 11 and August 18 - Annual Book Sales – no encyclopedias please. No electronics. Bake sale. All media accepted. Volunteers are needed to help with heavy lifting.
Also, don’t forget to visit our space at the LaGrange Park Antique Mall on 31st just west of the tracks from CatNap. We have lots of nice items that would be great and unique gifts. If you wish to donate items, contact Gaile at gaile4727@gmail.com or pam.ferris@ameritech.net.

Closed Sunday and Monday
Boarding drop-off and pick-up only - Monday 9-3 – preferably by appointment.
The shelter will be closed in the mornings so that the staff can care for the animals without interruption. If you must schedule a morning appointment, please call the shelter.

The Scoop on Adoptions
All pets live comfortably at CatNap or in a foster home until the right human companion comes along. There is NO TIME LIMIT for any animal. We are committed to finding the right home and to taking the time to carefully match the needs and the personalities of both people and adopted animals.
Please note that we prefer that all members of the family wishing to adopt should be present before taking home your new furry friend from CatNap.
