About

CatNap is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to creating lifelong relationships between companion animals and their adoptive families. We will provide shelter and care to all healthy and treatable relinquished, abandoned or transferred cats, and small mammals until we can bring the adopter and animal together for a lasting relationship.

CatNap was founded in 1997 by Bobbi Meyer and became a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization in 2002.  Bobbi continues to oversee the organization as Executive Director/President.  Please do not hesitate to contact Bobbi by text at 708-218-5145, or email, rcm1650@yahoo.com, with any concerns and/or complaints.  She will get in touch with you at her earliest convenience.  Please provide your name in text message.

Gaile Aardema joined CatNap in 2002 as a volunteer and is now Assistant to the Director.  Gaile coordinates fundraising and donations for CatNap.  She can be reached by text at 708-807-4504 or email, gaile4727@gmail.com.  Please provide your name in text message.

CatNap from the Heart is a limited-access shelter.

The Scoop on Adoptions

All pets live comfortably at CatNap or in a foster home until the right human companion comes along. There is NO TIME LIMIT for any animal. We are committed to finding the right home and to taking the time to carefully match the needs and the personalities of both people and adopted animals. Come see all the adorable cats, kittens, and small mammals available at our facility!

We are open to the public on a limited basis during our adoption hours on Tuesday through Thursday and on Saturday.

Normally, we prefer that all members of the family wishing to adopt should be present before taking home your new furry friend from CatNap.  Currently, all adoptions are being done on a trial basis and finalized within one to two weeks.
